In 2024, Pirate Robotics competed in the Miami Valley Regional.  We are proud of our robot, which incorporates swerve drive and for the first time laser guided movement.  We also employed added laser light sensors to control the loading of the Note automatically. While we didn't completely implement PID, we devised a PID- like approach that allow us to effectively control the robot movement and shooter mechanism.

A banner year! Pirate Robotics competed in the Miami Valley Regional making it to the finals!  We are really proud of our robot, which incorporates swerve drive, laser guided movement, multiple preprogrammed scoring options, path planning during autonomous and vision processing using AprilTags.  For the first time we implemented true PID for movement and shooting motor refined control, allowing us to effectively control the robot movement and shooter mechanism. Our autonomous programming enabled us to score with multiple approaches providing a flexible and adaptable approach to compliment our teammates abilities.
